Throughout the year, but particularly over the warmer months, there may be fire bans in place during a stay. This means no use of the outdoor fire pit or any open fire at all on the property during this time. Some of our cabins in Australia have seasonal fire bans that run every year across a 5-6 month period, when the risk of bushfires is much higher. This information is listed on the cabin pages for those cabins that fall into this group.
A fire ban can be called at any moment before or during a stay. These fire bans are dependant on weather conditions and our land owners have the right to call a total fire ban on their property, even if the Fire & Emergency Services have not officially listed it on their website.
If you've got a booking coming up, then the best place for up to date info on fire bans and safety is your Field Guide. If you're looking to book, but want a little more info on fire restrictions and safety while getting Unyoked, have a read of this article or reach out to our team on our contact us page.
